Frequently asked questions.

What is a Full Spectrum Doula?

A full spectrum doula provides comprehensive emotional, physical, and advocacy support throughout people’s entire reproductive journey—including conception, pregnancy, miscarriage, birth, abortion, and postpartum care. Full spectrum doulas take a holistic approach to support, considering each stage of your individual reproductive journey.

What services do you provide?

At this time, I am focusing primarily on birth and bereavement support, but am also able to support clients with abortion support and short term postpartum care. I am happy to refer you to other local doulas for longer postpartum contracts.

For birth clients, I emphasize significant antenatal support with a minimum of 3 prenatal appointments and availability for support even in the first and second trimesters. My holistic, full spectrum approach and advocacy focus makes my services look different than many other birth doulas and I am happy to explain those differences in our consultation call.

Where are you located?

I am located in the Greater Boston area and consistently able to support clients between Boston and Worcester, the South Shore, and some areas of upper Cape Cod. If you are located in other areas in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or Southern New Hampshire, I may have availability depending on your needs and EDD.

For the following times of year, I also offer availability in the Albany, NY area: Early January, June, July, August, and mid-late December.

What Training have you Received?

I have completed a diverse range of trainings and continue to engaging in ongoing professional development. My primary doula training was BADT’s full spectrum doula training. My certification through BADT is currently in progress, pending some paperwork. I have also completed a DONA birth doula training, but have chosen not to certify with DONA at this time—feel free to reach out for more information on this decision. You can see a full list of my training and education on my about page. I am currently pursuing several trainings including herbalism education and a training in supporting clients with a history of substance use.
